Working in clay has been an ideal complement to Sue's figurative painting. She uses a variety of clays including terracotta and porcelain. In the Spectator series, 'Summer Breeze' (#4) for example, Sue uses the unique properties of flax paperclay, which are sometimes mixed with other organic materials. All sizes given refer to the longest dimension.
